As the first project within STEER Leadership institute, MBU introduces an Executive MBA program focused on functional business leadership, leading people and leading business, whereas its mission is to to integrate business, people and humanities.

Study Structure

The STEER Leadership Institute of Executive Education at the Montreux Business University Execu-tive MBA is articulated along 3 blocks of 3 modules each plus a minimum of 1 elective module.

Each module is preceded by a set of compulsory readings relevant to the module subjects, whereas the knowledge acquisition from the readings is tested in individual on-line questionnaire prior to the start of the module.
During each module, there is at least one individual and one group assignment. Every module finishes with an individual exam.

STEER Leadership Institute - structure

The program starts in September 2017 and finishes in June 2018. Courses take place on Friday and Saturday 3x a month. A detailed calendar will be uploaded here shortly.



Admissions requirements

Professional achievements: minimum of 5 years professional experience
Academic achievements: preferably a Bachelor’s Degree
Language proficiency: English being the language of instruction, a very good command of both written and spoken English is required.
Employer’s support: A recommendation from employer, confirming their and the candidate’s commitment and professional relevance of attending the STEER EMBA. Corporate financial support is a matter to be resolved between the candidate and their employer.

Although not objectively required in the admission process, the EMBA provides strong focus to:
• Leadership potential
• Analytical ability
• International exposure and/or sensitivity

Program fee: CHF 35’000
Application fee: CHF 150
Waiver possibility: STEER Leadership Institute of Executive Education recognizes that some students may already have some knowledge and experience in one or more modules and modules, therefore may consider that they could be exempted from this/those modules. If so, they are entitled to apply for a waiver. The waiver request will be evaluated by an appropriate committee and in case of approval, instead of attending the module(s), students will have to prepare a specific essay: the waiver committee will then evaluate the knowledge acquisition through experience as part of the overall process of evaluation of the EMBA. A maximum of 3 module waivers is possible.
